Aspen & Aspen Enterprise Scheduled Login Module

The optional calendar-based Scheduled Login Module provides a graphical schedule for each month, day and hour to pre-schedule samples and tests for login. It supports periodic sampling schedule and auto login of samples. The Scheduler supports custom label printing, sample collecting reports and required bottle summary reports. Chain of Custody may be printed as well.

SQC

Aspen and Aspen Enterprise LIMS have a seamless interface to the Northwest Analytical Quality Analyst application that allows users to create SQC charts and calculations at the click of a single button. When users want to produce charts from statistical data, Aspen LIMS automatically retreives the required data from the database and passes it to the Quality Analyst application for charting. All of the functionality of Quality Analyst is available to the user.

Instrument Maintenance & Calibration

Many laboratories require records of instrument maintenance and calibration. The Instrument Maintenance and Calibration option tracks this important information. In addition to record keeping, the option tracks the instrument test qualifications and can be set up to control which tests can be assigned to currently qualified instruments.

Personnel Training & Qualifications Log

Telecation's Instrument Maintenance & Qualification Log also integrates training into the laboratory process. All personnel are tracked for education, training schools or certification. Each person may be tracked by Aspen test code certifications and documented in accordance with NELAC and GALP requirements. The Aspen LIMS may be set up such that tests may not be assigned to non-certified personnel.

Chemical & Supply Inventory Systems
CISPro Desktop:

The CIS Chemical Inventory System CISPro Desktop is a high-performance, relational database system for tracking chemicals and other laboratory supplies. With CIS, you can maintain a listing of all the chemicals in your facility, and keep track of where they are and how much of them you have, monitor who uses them and how much, generate reports listing chemicals by location, vendor, name, CAS#, formula, etc., and quickly access hazard information during an emergency. The program contains extensive on-line help, and a complete 12 part tutorial covering all aspects of operation. The CIS Chemical Inventory System CISPro Desktop is a great choice for Windows chemical database management, providing both ease of use, and powerful features for editing, search & retrieval, and network environments.

CISPro Enterprise:

CISPro Enterprise has all the features of the Desktop version with these features added.

  • Enhanced security features
  • Runs on Oracle or MS SQL Server Database Management Systems
  • Splitting/Aliquot containers
  • Generate TIER II reports at the end of each year.
  • Links to MSDS SimpleView Web (Requires MSDS Digital Filing Cabinet Enterprise)
  • Share data with other Client/Server business applications.
  • Configure system to meet your specifications.

MSDS Digital Filing Cabinet Pro

The MSDS Digital Filing Cabinet Pro (DFC PRO) is a document imaging application designed specifically for storage and retrieval of MSDS documents. Document Imaging programs store pages as images, providing a fast and error-free method of getting the MSDS document into the computer for display and printing. This method of storing and retrieving MSDS's means that you have one source copy that needs to be maintained, but that copy is instantly accessible via the network to anyone, at any time. It also means that instead of wading through stacks of binders to find the right document, you can find it in seconds by searching.

Hand-held Data Entry Devices

For a number of years, hand-held devices have added a degree of automation used in other high throughput industries such as package delivery services or meter readers. This same level of automation is achieved with LIMS using the various hand-held devices which Telecation offers. From the hand-held barcode reader to the sophisticated palm top computer with GPS sample point validation, Telecation offers a wide variety of choices for automated data entry.

Barcode Printers

Generate container labels that include text, barcodes, or both.

Barcode Scanners

Barcode scanners scanners deliver speed and flexibility, whether used at the point of sample login or within the laboratory. There are a number of different types of scanners for various applications in the laboratory. These include low-cost "pen/wand" readers, CCD scanners, laser scanners, and badge scanners.

Instrument & Device Interfacing

The interfacing of lab instruments can increase efficiency and reduce manual entry errors. Studies show that transcription error rates of three to five percent are common in non-automated laboratories. The interfaces offered by Telecation provide fast results transfer from instruments, virtually eliminating errors. Some instruments are conducive to two-way interfacing which then allows Aspen LIMS to help technicians set up sequence tables ensuring samples and QC tests are scheduled and posted to the LIMS in the most efficient manner.

For over 18 years, Telecation, formerly Telecation, Inc., has been providing interfaces to most standard laboratory instruments as well as RS232 devices such as balances, pH meters and other equipment. We may utilize a variety of options for obtaining data from your instrumentation.

Labtronics:

Labtronics is a world leader in the development of laboratory instrument interfacing and automation software.

LimsLink(CDS) provides secure, bi-directional interfacing between Aspen LIMS and any Chromatography Data System (CDS). Labtronics' years of experience in providing instrument interfacing solutions combined with their partnerships with both Telecation and CDS providers, ensures that LimsLinkCDS fully meets the needs and requirements of CDS to Aspen LIMS interfacing.

First introduced in 1995, LimsLink has established itself as the industry standard for instrument to LIMS interfacing. As the most flexible and comprehensive interfacing software available, LimsLink includes all of the components required to securely and accurately manage data flow between your instruments and your Aspen LIMS. The flexibility and power of LimsLink allows for the interfacing of virtually any instrument to any LIMS, while retaining a common interface. This dramatically reduces implementation and training time while providing analysts with one common user interface, no matter what instrument they are working with. LimsLink can also act as a "data system" for RS232 based instruments, collecting, processing and formatting data for reporting in a meaningful manner to Aspen LIMS.

TALtech

TALtech specializes in RS232 data acquisition software, serial and TCP/IP communications software, and RS-232 boards.

With TALtech's WinWedge program, you can input RS232 data directly into Excel, Access, or directly into Aspen LIMS. WinWedge provides real-time data collection from any serial device or instrument. TALtech's TCP-Wedge software provides data collection from any TCP/IP network. Lastly we can send and receive RS232 data across a TCP/IP port with TCP/Com serial to TCP/IP converter software.

Dawning Technologies, Inc.

Dawning Technologies specializes in the interfacing of instrumentation commonly used in clinical, radiochemistry, food and microbiology laboratories. The Secure Network Interface (SNI) is a compact yet powerful way to easily connect a serial device to a TCP/IP network, eliminating the need for terminal servers and PC's to provide these connections. Acting as a mini web server, the SNI acquires data from a laboratory analyzer, (or other serial device) processes it, and delivers it to a LIMS server anywhere on the network.

Telecation has partnered with Dawning Technologies to provide both single and bi-directional interfaces between Aspen LIMS and fluorometers, ELISA, BacT and Hitachi 911 series instruments in health, industrial hygiene and food/beverage laboratories.
