A successful laboratory information technology project requires adequate preparation and detailed planning; engaging the right team members; developing, installing, and configuring high-quality products and services; conducting in-depth testing; and careful monitoring. As a company, Telecation is committed to providing you with information technology and document management solutions that are dependable, reliable, and meet both your needs and expectations. Furthermore, we are committed to providing you with high-quality solutions in a timely, cost-effective manner. Aspen can be implemented in two ways: self-configured by the laboratory or configured with assistance from Telecation's staff of Implementation Specialists. A self-configured system could be configured by your company personnel or a local consultant. The cost of this option is lower and your company will have a better working knowledge of the system and the customization. However implementation may take longer perhaps up to 40% longer. A Telecation configured system gives shared responsibility of the system configuration to both Telecation and to your facility. The time required to implement the system is substantially less due to the fact that our Product Specialists have already passed through the learning curve expected from a new user. In addition, since Telecation has already been involved with so many laboratories of your type, we may be able to pass along a number of great ideas to enhance your complete system. However, implementation may increase the overall cost of your system by $5,000 or more. For detailed information about our LIMS implementations, please request the LIMS Project Guide from the Resource Center of this website. The LIMS Project Guide provides the framework you need to prepare for a successful project with us. This guide walks you through each step of our project life cycle, providing you with an understanding of the key participants, activities, and deliverables involved throughout the project. Keep in mind that this document is merely a guide. Depending on the size and scope of your project, you may or may not require all of the items discussed in this document. The order may vary, and required participants may change. Telecation will customize each project implementation based on your needs and objectives.
