LIMS Technology - Sharing of Information via the Internet

Aspen and Aspen Enterprise LIMS both allow the sharing of information via the internet in a number of ways.

• Inherent to the system is the ability to "publish" reports in a number of popular formats including Word, Excel, Adobe pdf, or as Microsoft "snapshots". These reports may be sent to a secure area of the business' website where users of the data may peruse or even download them. The use of the "snapshot" format addresses current regulatory requirements where the laboratory wants to be able to provide reports to their clients without the possibility of the client "modifying" the data.
  
• As mentioned above, laboratories wishing to deploy Aspen as a shared application accessed via the web may do so using Citrix or other terminal emulation packages.
